Nice place, value for money

Spacious and clean rooms, loved the plunge pool and proximity to beach.

Breakfast was basic and choices limited.

Beautiful place to stay and relax

The resort is beautifully decorated and the appartments are very spacious. Also it is very clean too. Aircon is working perfectly.

It is a bit faraway from the centre of Koh Samui, but with a scooter you can easily reach it within 30/40 minutes. The breakfast is very light, not much to choose from. Just two type of drinks, simple toast with jam, pancakes, egg (boiled or omelet), sausage, rice and some cucunber/tomato. Fruit is available on request.

Not too bad but better properties out there.

Quiet area away from the busy tourist areas. Staff always smiling and very polite and always helped if needed. They arranged a scooter for us at a competitive price so that's a big plus but the woman forgot to mark as paid but wasn't an issue but something to be mindful of.

Incredibly dated properties as mentioned by the majority of reviews. Can see that yrs ago it must of looked fantastic but sadly those days are long gone. The breakfast options are average, despite requesting eggs cooked properly they always seemed to be under cooked so left them after a few days, nearly paid the price one morning! Overall in my opinion the villas are overpriced for the quality given. However they are clean but sometimes need to ask for cleaning. Wouldn't stay again. The pics advertised are around 10 yrs old at least. But not as bad as Bali adverts.

Great Location but needs improvement,

Location is right on the beach of Lipa Noi. Plunge villas are big. Breakfast is good but limited in choice.

Rooms need maintenance (several light bulb did not work), Breakfast Staff spoke just basic English so any changes from the standard was difficult.

If you want a quiet place to relax, this is where to go.

Quiet location, friendly and helpful staff, spacious room, and the hotel area itself was nicely designed, service at restaurant was great in the evening

Service at breakfast was a mixed bag. Sometimes the condiments tray was brought to the table, sometimes not. Sometimes a small fruit platter was served, sometimes not.

One staff member was very nice and spoke good English, the staff do appear to not understand you very well due to language barriers. Beach at the end of the hotel is stunning

Quiet and close to beach

No light at kettle for making coffee and tea. Air conditioner shuts off when we leave room. Would be nice to keep room cool. But a second key would avoid that.

The Bangalows are very clean and beautiful but there is no bar in the hotel and not a propper restaurant. Next to the hotel you should try Virgin coast restaurant amazing view and lovely staff.

What was the highlight of Kanok Buri Resort

Great staff (could have not done more - thanks Joom and Lina), was luckily upgraded to a plunge pool villa - lovely, spacious, well designed and peaceful. Lovely beach with pleasant local facilities. Great for a relaxing holiday. Entertainment is available at other hotels along the beach (Nikkis Hotel for example) but, so pleasing to return to the serenity of Kanok Buri. We enjoyed the pre-booked island tour and the speed boat trip to the Marine Park was fabulous. Enjoy

Nil. We took the chance to stay at Lamai Beach and Chaweng Beach to experience the whole island and whilst we enjoyed our other experiences we were very happy to return to the Kanok Burie. Bare in mind the distance and takes approx 45 mins via the hotel bus (900 baht). Whilst we did not have any direct issues it was apparent that the 'old tactic' of towel placing on sunbeds to secure a bed first thing in the morning frustrated some clients - a better policing of this would help.

We stayed in private pool villa. We loved our room. We choose to stay there because it's quiet. The room was pretty spacious, cozy and really gave us a privacy that we were looking for. The bathroom has a bath tub and also separated shower. The plunge pool comes with Jacuzzi and mini waterfall. The outdoor area has 2 sun decks.

Maybe more varieties of TV channels.

The staff is nice. The ambience is very nice

The hotel is old and should be renovated. The location is not good as you have to pay taxi to go anywhere. In the walking distance are just other resorts. The beach is nothing special.

The room was spacious

Room wasn’t properly cleaned- Dust in many obvious places, breakfast was ok but could be tweaked to make it better. No atmosphere, air con didn’t work well.

We booked a room with a private swimming pool and was amazing after a day of excursion. The position is good if you are looking for relax, but far from Lamai and Chewang (movida, restaurants and pub).

The resort has lots of potential but it’s left to its fate. It’s an old resort and it needs maintenance. Moreover the staff it’s not so kind and not so helpful for a tourist. Finally services are really poor (ie bathhouse really old).

The private pool villas are really nice! The staff were really the sweetest! They were very professional and catered to your every need. (We went on a boattrip and they offered to pack us beach towels, which were ready and packed in a beachbag when our taxi arrived.) Although the location of the hotel is a more quiet area, Nikki Beach was at walking distance as well as 2 restaurants that were really great and cheap. If you don’t like the busy party and tourist area and rent a scooter or car, this place is perfect.

The common pool is pretty small. The location is quiet deserted and taxi prices are not súper cheap.
